Administering a large church like EMBC is a full-time endeavour. The Enabling Team partners with the pastors and leadership teams to organise, oversee, and optimise the way our church functions. We handle everything from day-to-day logistics to long-term planning so ministry teams can focus on people and mission, and to help our church seek a New Way of Living. Our service includes:

Communications - our team manages internal and external communications for EMBC. We maintain membership letters, forms, and digital updates to keep everyone informed. The church website also falls under our care, sharing news and resources with members and the wider community.

Finance - our team oversees stewardship and fund management across all areas of EMBC. We maximise and administer Gift Aid, regular giving, and one-off donations. We prepare, approve, and submit annual financial statements and returns in line with charity regulations.

Compliance & Safeguarding - we ensure EMBC meets all regulatory requirements, including HMRC and OSCR guidelines. Our policies cover GDPR, health and safety, and social media conduct. We also maintain and update our Protection of Vulnerable Groups policy, support PVG scheme membership, and train staff and volunteers to keep everyone safe.

Property & Facilities - our team maintains and develops EMBC’s buildings and assets. We ensure facilities are fit for purpose, welcoming to all, and continually enhanced for both members and visitors.

Training & Development - we design and deliver training programmes for every ministry team at EMBC, including:

Each course equips volunteers and staff to serve with confidence and skill.

Welcome & Connect Team - our team helps create a space where everyone feels seen, valued, and at home. By greeting people at the door, answering simple questions, and offering a warm smile, we help set the tone for worship and community at EMBC. The Welcome & Connect Desk is in the Village Centre after the Sunday morning services.
